As we know that in the last year of university, we have to teach at school as an internship. So, which school size do you prefer to get an internship between large school in big city and small school in rural area ?

For me, I have no idea about that (though I have to make a decision in this coming semester!)

For me, I don't have idea as you.
I think it depends on your decision and situation.
I have ever think that I wanna teach at my old school, Satit MSU.
On the other hands, I don't like traffic in new campus of MSU and the problem of flooding.
Ummmmm this question is very difficult to answer.

I've had a chance to teach the students in a small school last summer for a month.
It has made me feel like more loving to teach the students because I think they have no chance to study English like the students in the large school.
And there is one thing that always makes me happy when i taught them, it is their curiosity.
They were looking forward to studying English and always waiting for me everyday.
When I had to teach them, they would shout to their friends that "Kru'O comes"
and other students would say gladly "Yae Yae." And while i was teaching them, they were determined to study English.
Thus, these are the reasons why if i were you, i would teach the students in the small school.
Although it depends on many factors, I just want to share my experience to support your decision.

For me, teaching in small school in rural area is more challenging than teaching in large school in big city in terms of problems solving skills, chances and insufficiency. In small school in rural area, everything is new and interesting for them. They are so cute and very humble. So, If I have a chance to choose, teaching in small school in rural area is my first choice for sure.

I feel like teaching in a large school in a big city is more challenging
because the students are quite smart and interested in learning.
That is why the teacher needs to always improve himself/herself
and keeps up learning. I prefer to teach in a city. Smile

I prefer small school in rural area.
Because the students don't have a good chance like students in big city.
I have lots of experience about these when I have joined English Camp.
I always feel happy when I taught them because they were very humble
and paid attention in everything that I gave to them.

I like living simple, so I prefer teaching in countryside(in a small school). No polution, No crowded street, No traffic jam, and people are so kind in the rural town. If it's possible, I want to get a job nearby my hometown so that I can live with my mom and my family. Absolutely, my hometown is not in the city, so I really need to live and spend all my life in my hometown.

For me, I would like to teach in a small school.
As you can see, many schools in rural area are very far from Civilization.
Those schools are located in boondocks.
But the students in those small schools should get everything that they deserve to get like large schools in the big city.
And due to I am one of the university students who will be a teacher in the future, I think if teacher can play the most role in this issue.
It will be very useful for those schools in rural area.
cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

In my opinion, I want to teach in a large school in the big city because it is more challenging than another one.
I have to deal with a great number of students from different grades.
According to the large amount of students, I have to teach about more than 6 classes per week so I have to prepare and manage my teaching orderly which is a good chance for practicing myself.
It doesn't mean that I don't want to teach in a small school but I think this one is more interesting.

I love the large school in the city because it has many tools and the high technology to support me to teach children. But I love peaceful very much, so I prefer small school. When I was a child and I learned at small school near my home. I known every boby in my school. It was a small family I loved. When I learned in secondary school, it was a very big school in town. It was diferent from my old scool and I don't have relationship with another people except my teacher who taught me and my classmate. It is not a good thing.

If I have a chance to choose between big city or small school in rural area,
I will go for small school in rural area.
I have so many reason to say so.
First, I don't like to deal with a lot of people.
Also, students who live in a rural area are nice.
Last, I don't like to live in a big city.

I prefer small school in rural area to large school in big city.
In the rural area, students have no chance to practice English skill.
They do not have enough material for learning.
I want to give them a chance to practice an English skill.
I will improve them as much as I can.

I'm not serious about the size or civilization of the school that I need to teach
because every school gives me new experiences that I never met before,
and teach me to solve the problem wisely by myself for growing to be a good adult.
The reason that make me choose to teach at school where is in a city or rural area
might be convenience transportation and safety. I think these are the factor that help
me determine to choose because my life is the most important. Although it's very inconvenient
in the technology or anything else, it's safe and easy to go there, I think it's too bad for me.

Both are challenging for me. Teaching in large school in big city can improve your English skill. You do not want to lose your face when you cannot answer your students' questions. Whereas teaching in small school in rural area takes much more effort than large school in big city because students' knowledge background are different from city students. We have to understand that they have few educational equipment to help them improve their knowledge. They might not be familiar with English because they do not have a chance to use English outside the class. And they is no the latest technology to facilitate you to teach and manage the classroom. So you have to deal with all those problems.

A small school and be in rural area. I don't like teaching in a big school. A big class
is hard to control. Being in the city leads me stress. I don't like that. I need to be
in the place where I can breathe fresh air, and surrounded with nature.

I think small school in rural area is good. Because the children in there need to have more education. They stay so far. So if we went to teach them English or any subjects, they will have more knowledge and can use it to develop their place and their life.

I will choose small school in rural area
because I don't like live in crowded and chaotic city.
I like simple life. And another idea is students in rural area
are waiting for teacher. Some rural area lack of teacher
so that why I would like to teach in rural area.

I would like to be teaching in rural schools.
As I've answered to a question in this forum before.
I love country lifestyles.
I find rural people more friendly and reliable.
Children in those area also have less opportunities to reach proper education like those in big cities.

Teaching in large school in big city or small school in rural area are both challenging to me.
Teaching in large school and in big city is the way that I can improve my English skill. I do not mean that teaching in small school or in rural area, I do not have to improve my English skill. Both of them need the teacher who influences in the things they have learnt. But in large school have more chance to study than schools in rural area. So that is why the teacher in big city needs to improve herself more than in rural area.

To be a teacher, wherever it has the students I can teach.
