Are you afraid if you go abroad alone?

I want to go abroad alone at least once in my life and I can't imagine if I walk along the street with strangers, how do I feel? How do I do when I get lost? It must be exciting I think.

This question really hits my eyes after I have looked up
to answer those posts for a while. Soon I'm flying to the
United States alone. It's my first time to take a flight and
to be in the US alone as well. I kind of feel nervous about
my big journey; I will depart from Thailand, next I will transit
at Narita Airport, Japan, and then I will continue until landing at
Minnesota State, MN. Oh my god! I wish I can make it......

I have to feel afraid because I don't know where is dangerous in their country.
So if I go with my friends and my lover, it is better to go alone.

I think every things in there are strange and also people in there.
I think it will be a challenged trip for me.
I think it will be easier if we can speak English fluently.
