Here are sample of a graded system of imperative pattern-structures for a use through the activity method:

Stage I (Simple)
Stand! (Stand up)
Skip!
Sit!
Crawl!
Walk!
Squat!
Run!
Leap!
Hop!
Stop!
Jump!

Stage II (Intermediate)
Clap your hands!
Scratch your/ his/ her/ my nose!
Touch your/ his/ her/ my nose!
Carry your/ his/ her/ my bag!
Fold your/ his/ her/ my arms!
Open your eyes!
Close your eyes!
Clean your shoes!
Brush your teeth!
Eat your cake!

Stage III (Advanced)
Look at the board!
Put away your pencils!
Point at the sky!
Hide behind the door!
Clime on the table!
Sleep on the floor!
Go down the steps!
Wait near the chair!
Switch on/off the light!
Write in your book!
Take out your books!

Stage IV (Miscellane ous pattern)
Break that stick into little pieces!
Mend this toy with that glue!
Accompany him to the shop!
Place yourselves around me!
Put his bag between you and me!
Follow that boy!
Swim among the rocks!
Play under that tree!
Draw a straight line beside that crooked me!
Fly your kite over that house!
Help that lady across the road!
